Service Description

Have you thought about practising yoga, but you are not sure where to start? Over the course of six weeks, join me in a very small group- maximum of 5-6 students. I will also open up 'drop in' spaces for this course if there are any spaces left the week before it starts. Please note the classes are 1hr 15 mins (my usual running time is one hour). This course is suitable for beginners, or also suitable if you have practised for a while but you would like to revisit the fundamentals of yoga, or enjoy a more relaxed pace in a slightly longer session. We will cover: What is yoga? (There are many opinions and styles! ) I see it as a holistic practice of self awareness, not necessarily about being super flexible! Working with the breath and the power of breathing efficiently! (pranayama) Different types of postures (asanas) with recommended alignments Short flowing sequences, featuring our "poses of the week" We practice in this small and inspiring independent bookshop. Please arrive 5 mins before class and bring a mat. I do have some spares, should you forget. If you have to miss a week, I'll send you a recording.
