Relaxing yoga and mindfulness to de-stress, develop resilience and leave feeling refreshed!
Hi! I’m George. Welcome to my small and friendly yoga community!
YOGA CLASS STYLE...
I help mainly mid-life women and yoga beginners live happier lives with yoga. Classes are held in Kingston, Ham and Richmond.
My hatha/slow flow yoga classes blend movement, breath and yoga philosophy, to help you find some space for yourself and improve your physical and mental well-being.
I don't tend to teach advanced poses such a headstand or handstand, as I am more interested in the holistic aspects of yoga. e.g. a class based on muladhara chakra (an energy centre) might give a specific breathing technique to reduce anxiety, and help you find your foundation and stability.
I I believe the main journey of yoga is one of self awareness so I encourage my clients to be aware of what is happening in body and mind as they practice.
MINDFULNESS
I am currently undertaking my Compassionate Mindful Resilience Teacher Training with Mindfulness UK and aspects are weaved into my classes but I will also be teaching a stand alone Mindfulness course in 2026. You can click here to learn some benefits of Mindfulness.

I have an interest in yoga's ability to help us rest and heal in this busy life. To reflect this, I have completed my Restorative Yoga training with Judith Hanson Lasater.
Thank you to all my teachers, especially Raquel Alves, but also Graham Burns, Liz Lark and Muriel Mueller.
Please look at my Youtube channel (a work in progress!) for an idea of my yoga class style....(red button below)...
I trained with Yoga Campus, completing their highly regarded training diploma over 18 months, finishing in 2018.
ME...
I enjoy cooking- generally quite healthy stuff- vegetarian meals mostly (kale nachos are a favourite)... I know this sounds totally healthy, but I also love chocolate and hot cross buns!
I used to bake a lot but have now passed this baton on to my children. Which means we get quite a lot of cookies..... I read a fair bit and belong to a local book club.
I enjoy thinking about life and this is reflected in my classes as I like to weave in yoga's philosophy where I can, as this makes yoga more relevant to our lives..... I still enjoy a spot of dancing- where mildly creaking middle aged joints allow.

I love my weekly lessons with George. Her classes are accessible for all levels, challenging and fun. She shares yoga history which gives the classes a wonderful focus. I've learned some great relaxation techniques which I use on a regular basis- thank you.
